Abstract
While misgendering is a common occurrence in many places, specifically workplaces and schools, employers and faculty should find ways to ensure that people’s preferred names and pronouns are used and respected. Not only can constant misgendering can be considered harassment and discrimination, which can lead to a lawsuit, but the active misgendering of students could potentially lead to bullying and harassment, or in some cases, students face the risk of being outed to fellow classmates, teachers, or family.
